Important Immunization Information

To protect your child from whooping cough, a California law now requires all students to receive a new vaccine. For the 2011-2012 school year, all students entering 7th-12th grades will need proof of a teen whooping cough shot (Tdap) before starting school.

To comply with this law, please do the following:

  1. Get your child vaccinated for whooping cough NOW. Waiting until summer may overload the supply of vaccines. Make an appointment with your child's doctor or go to the Public Health Clinic now.

  2. Show you proof of immunization to the office. Bringing it to the school office or sending it to the office of where your child will be transferring to will insure that your child will be allowed to start the school year on time.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office or your child's doctor.

Letter from a former Carden parent:

Jeannie, Michelle and all the teachers at Carden. I am so grateful to Carden for the education my son recieved. I listen to Arturo the way he explains to me things he sees at his current school and I analyze what he says and I know I made the right decision to have him stay at Carden. One thing he said "Mom I see a book that the Juniors are carrying around at high school and we at Carden already read it! Another student asked my son and others students who won the civil war and Arturo answered the North while others said Germany! I cannot recall the other questions but I will ask him and later type them here in facebook to encourage you Jeannie and the teachers to keep up the good fight in this troubled times we are all going through. Private school is a sacrifice more for some than others but it is well worth it. I am happy to hear of your Non-profit status and will contribute to Carden to show my appreciation, and that I believe in the school and its mission for students for years to come. Also Arturo said mom in the graduating class above me there were two students who started since knidergarden and while I was in pre-algebra, algebra those two students were doing work 1 level above me Example: Arturo was doing algebra and the two students were in geometry. I have been hearing these snippets of stories from my son for a while now. And just last 2-3 weeks I have been learning to use facebook, so I tell you them, stories, now to encourage, encourage, encourage you all are doing awesome work there. Sincerely a Mom who appreciates Carden, Clara Santiso
